Racing today in Melbourne was at Flemington in sauna like conditions reaching 40 degrees. It was sweltering conditions for man and beast.One of our biggest for the day in Star of Giselle clearly didn't like the conditions and ran on only fairly to lob 2nd. Wednesday 17/8 we invested in one race in Sydney as the Melb races were called off due to the never ending rain. Mind you Sydney was a heavy track too, but was confident we had a shot at one particular race. Today sees the running of the Adelaide Cup over 3200m. A nice day was had by all with the 2 champs saluting...the amazing Black Caviar and the very talented WHOBEGOTYOU...reckon I've got him just about every win. B.C was never ever going to lose that race, and it was a tragedy that Hay List was scr and we copped a reduction in our collect.
